We have previously reported that the creatinine (Cre) to cystatin C (CysC) ratio is associated with height-adjusted skeletal muscle mass index (SMI). However, weight-adjusted SMI is reported to be a more useful marker of insulin sensitivity than height-adjusted SMI.
